Tonj Town, Friday, July 18, 2025 – The Governor of Warrap State, H.E. Amb. Bol Wek Agoth, and his accompanying delegation were accorded a warm and distinguished luncheon today at the residences of Lt. Gen. Francis Marial Abur and Molana Abur Chol Chol.
The occasion was marked with prayers led by Hon. William Deng Akoon, who reflected on the biblical verse, “Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dine together in unity.” The scripture set the tone for a gathering filled with fellowship, unity, and renewed commitment to service.
Governor Agoth used the opportunity to interact with former Governors, distinguished politicians, community leaders, and intellectuals, sharing light moments while also engaging in substantive discussions on issues of governance and peace.
Notably, several sideline meetings held during the luncheon were instrumental in aligning key objectives of the State Government, particularly those focused on restoring the rule of law and advancing socio-economic development across Warrap State.
The event also highlighted the distinguished contributions of Lt. Gen. Francis Marial Abur, a true SPLM cadre, liberator, and service man who hails from the Luacjang community. General Marial Abur holds a place of honor as the first General from Luacjang to rise within the SPLM ranks, symbolizing dedication, resilience, and loyalty to the party and the people. His leadership and legacy continue to inspire the younger generation to uphold the values of unity, patriotism, and service.
The luncheon underscored the importance of solidarity and cooperation among leaders, reaffirming the shared commitment to building a peaceful and prosperous Warrap State.
