Governor Bol Wek Agoth Camps in Ngapagok Payam on Peace and Disarmament Mission

Tonj East County, Wednesday, July 30, 2025 – H.E. Amb. Bol Wek Agoth, Governor of Warrap State, arrived in Tonj East County as part of a peace mission and to disseminate information on the State of Emergency.

During the journey, the Governor’s entourage made stops in Palal and Wunyiik, engaging directly with local communities before settling in Ngapagok Payam, where he is expected to convene a major meeting with the Jalwau and Akook communities.

Governor Agoth commended the Luackoth community for their hospitality towards internally displaced persons and for maintaining neutrality amid ongoing communal conflicts. He pledged financial support and assured engagement with humanitarian agencies to address the needs of the growing displaced population.

Throughout his tour, the Governor met conflict-displaced persons, emphasizing his commitment to opening a new chapter of peace for Greater Tonj and Warrap State.

The Governor’s delegation included Gen. Garang Mabil, Rt. Hon. Kuec Deng Mayar, State Advisors, State Ministers, Heads of Independent Commissions, State MPs, and senior security officials.

The visit highlights the State Government’s continued efforts to combine peacebuilding, humanitarian assistance, and community engagement in the pursuit of stability and development across Warrap State.
