H.E. Lt. Gen. Magok Magok Deng, the Governor of Warrap State, has arrived in Juba for an official visit aimed at strengthening the relationship between the State and the National Government. The Governor’s visit is a strategic move to engage National leadership and key development stakeholders to foster collaboration and establish practical cooperation mechanisms to ensure lasting peace in and around Warrap State.
Governor Magok emphasized that peace is the foundation upon which development efforts can be successfully built, and securing peace will enable the State to progress in its economic, social, and infrastructural initiatives.
During his visit, Governor Magok also seeks to mobilize humanitarian assistance for families affected by natural and man-made disasters, particularly the ongoing Cholera outbreak and communal conflicts that have caused immense hardship to local communities.
The Governor was warmly received upon his arrival in Juba by the Warrap State Coordinator, Warrap State Government officials, Warrap State citizens in Juba, and various cultural groups. The reception highlighted the strong sense of community and solidarity among Warrap State citizens, even when they are away from home.
Accompanying the Governor on his visit are his Peace and Security Advisor, State Minister of Information, Independent Commission members, and the Commissioner for Revenue Authority.
Governor Magok’s visit is expected to bolster the efforts of the Warrap State government in addressing pressing issues related to peace, security, and development, while also strengthening ties with the National Government.
